Treadmills, stationary bikes, rowing machines, ellipticals, and cross-trainers at Penrith gyms are wiped down and disinfected using anti-microbial, equipment-safe products. All high-touch surfaces — handles, display screens, heart rate sensors, seat adjustments, and entry buttons — receive full disinfection on every visit.

Dumbbells, barbells, kettlebells, weight plates, and strength machines are sanitised using pH-neutral anti-microbial products safe for chrome, rubber coating, and powder-coated steel. Cable machine handles, seat pads, adjustment pins, and support bars are disinfected on every clean. Weight racks and storage towers are wiped down including the frame and base.

All rubber, foam, and interlocking gym flooring at Penrith fitness facilities is cleaned using pH-neutral products free from bleach and ammonia — which can degrade rubber and cause slipping hazards when residue remains. We HEPA vacuum, wet mop, and where required, apply a diluted anti-microbial solution safe for the flooring type. Stretching mats and yoga mats are sanitised separately.

Locker room benches, lockers, shower cubicles, toilet facilities, vanity areas, and floor drains are cleaned and disinfected using TGA-listed products. Locker rooms carry the highest bacterial load in any gym — wet surfaces, bare skin contact, and high foot traffic create an environment that requires consistent, thorough disinfection. We use separate colour-coded equipment for locker room areas.

Group fitness studios, yoga rooms, cycle studios, and functional training areas at Penrith gyms are swept, mopped, and disinfected. Studio mirrors are cleaned, wall-mounted equipment and anchor points are wiped, and any class-specific equipment — bands, blocks, gliders, and foam rollers — is sanitised after use. Barre rails and suspension training anchor points are included.

Reception desks, entry turnstiles, member check-in kiosks, café counters, chairs, and table surfaces are disinfected on every visit. Front-of-house areas are the first impression for members — they are also high-touch zones that see hundreds of interactions per day. We clean glass entry doors, door handles, and waiting area seating as part of the reception scope.
